Anne Aichele

Dean of Student Experience & Residential Faculty at SAINT MARYS SCHOOL

A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Anne Aichele joined Saint Mary's School in 2022 as the dean of student experience and residential faculty. She is a graduate of one of the oldest girl's schools in the country and brings more than two decades of experience to her role at Saint Mary's.

Dr. Aichele holds a Ph.D. in Education from George Mason University, a master of education in higher ed and higher ed administration from North Carolina State University, and a bachelor's of arts in education from Elizabethtown College. Prior to joining Saint Mary's, Dr. Aichele served as director of leadership and learning at Marymount University (2020-2021), as the director for student leadership development (2017-2020), as the assistant director for student leadership development (2013-2017), and as the director for disability support services (2009-2013).

She brings to Saint Mary's a wealth of knowledge and experience having had the responsibility for the oversight of Student Leadership Development initiatives, New Student and Parent Orientation, and campus-wide programming at Marymount, including the hiring, training, and supervision of both professional and student staff; the creation and implementation of office and university policy and procedures; the creation, collection, and analysis of assessment and evaluation data and industry best practice; the creation, management, and implementation of large-scale university programs; and the coordination of outreach to students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration through email, phone calls, and social media.

As director of student leadership development, she served as the advisor to the Student Government Association and the Marymount Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success, a national organization on leadership and service. She also developed coordinated, marketed, and fostered leadership development programs including conferences, training workshops, speaker series, events and retreats for a diverse student body at Marymount.
