Fauzia Choudhury

Senior Anti-violence Advocate at Sakhi for South Asian Women

Fauzia Choudhury is a seasoned professional specializing in social work and mental health advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Anti-Violence Advocate and previously as an Anti-Violence Program Advocate at Sakhi for South Asian Survivors, Fauzia has also worked as a Psychotherapist at Saya Psychotherapy since July 2024. With experience as a Social Work Intern at the National Association of Social Workers, Fauzia engaged in initiatives promoting anti-racism, while additional roles include Mental Health Worker at The Child Center of NY and various internships focusing on clinical social work and administrative support. Fauzia holds a Master's degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from NYU Silver School of Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hunter College. Engagement in diverse settings underscores a commitment to trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practices.
