Asesh Sarkar

Asesh Sarkar is the Co-Founder and CEO of Salary Finance. Asesh has over fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry, working with some of the world's leading organisations.

Asesh started their career as a Senior Consultant at Detica, a global consulting firm. Asesh then spent five years at PA Consulting Group, where they were a Partner and Member of the Management Group. During their time at PA, Asesh advised on and delivered transformative strategic programmes for a range of clients in the finance sector.

In 2010, Asesh joined Deloitte Corporate Finance as an Assistant Director. Asesh worked in the transaction services team, specialising in mergers and acquisitions in the finance sector. Asesh's work focussed on due diligence (commercial and operational) and value creation plans.

Asesh left Deloitte in 2015 to set up Salary Finance with co-founder Andrew Davenport. Salary Finance is a social enterprise that helps people to improve their financial wellbeing by providing affordable loans and financial education. The company has won numerous awards, including 'Best Newcomer' at the British Bank Awards and 'Most Innovative Business' at the National Business Awards.

Asesh Sarkar completed the Emerging Leaders Programme at London Business School. Asesh also holds a BSc in Computer and Business Studies from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School.
