Vicky Irwin

Vicky Irwin currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Down Syndrome Cheshire, beginning in September 2024, while also holding the position of Women & Girls Programme Coordinator at Sale Sharks Rugby Club since July 2020. Vicky has a comprehensive background in community and women's rugby, having previously worked as the Women’s and Community Manager at Sale Sharks Rugby Club, where responsibilities included developing community strategies and women's team initiatives, managing sponsorships, and ensuring operational compliance. Other notable roles include Head of Funding, Development and Partnerships at Sale Sharks Foundation, and various positions focused on community engagement and development. Vicky is also an Inclusion & Diversity Panel Member for England Rugby, contributing to disciplinary cases related to discrimination. Academically, Vicky holds a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood and Youth Studies combined with Sports Studies from Liverpool Hope University.
