Ishika Bhasin

Undergraduate Research Assistant at Salem Center for Policy

Ishika Bhasin currently serves as the Director at Access to Care Equity Systems Initiative, focusing on improving equitable healthcare access through transportation and funding strategies. In parallel, Ishika holds the position of Undergraduate Research Assistant at Salem Center for Policy, applying econometric, game theory, and Python skills to analyze policymaking effects and conducting machine learning-driven sentiment analysis. Additionally, Ishika volunteers at Ascension, providing mentorship and patient care support across various departments. As a Mental Health Advocate for The Chicago Coalition to Save Our Mental Health Centers, Ishika worked on canvassing efforts to promote expanded mental health services in the community. Previously, Ishika contributed to research at Ressl Lab, exploring the role of membrane structural proteins in neuronal function. Ishika is pursuing an Honors Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Neuroscience at The University of Texas at Austin.
