Silvio Savarese

Silvio Savarese is the Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist at Salesforce Research since April 2021. In addition to this role, Silvio serves as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, having previously held the position of Associate Professor with tenure until winter 2021. Notably, Silvio was the inaugural Mindtree Faculty Scholar in 2018 and directed the SAIL-Toyota Center for AI Research from 2016 to 2018. Prior experience includes co-founding and serving as Chief Scientist at Aibee Inc. from September 2018 to September 2020, where the focus was on leveraging AI to transform industry verticals. Silvio also held academic positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Silvio earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and a Laurea in Electrical Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
