Laurie Couch currently serves as the Provost & Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs at Salisbury University, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Laurie Couch spent over 25 years at Morehead State University, where responsibilities included Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education & Student Success, Associate Professor of Psychology, and interim Chair of the Department of Psychology. Laurie's academic career began at Fort Hays State University as an Assistant Professor of Psychology. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, obtained between 1992 and 1996, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University, completed in 1992.
