Leialoha Pakalani, EdD, SHRM-SCP, GPHR has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. In their current position as the Senior Director of People and Workplace Culture at Salt Lake Community College, they act as Chief of Staff and manages HR initiatives in alignment with the college's strategic priorities. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Limelight Leadership, where they played a pivotal role in overseeing HR functions. Leialoha also held the position of Director of Human Resources at Coding Dojo, where they partnered with leadership to implement HR and talent management strategies. Additionally, Leialoha served as the Vice President of Human Resources, People and Culture at MDLGCorp, Capital Management Services, overseeing HR functions and driving diversity and inclusion initiatives. Leialoha also gained experience in the field of HR through their roles at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the CORPORATION OF THE PRESIDING BISHOP OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, where they worked as a Human Resources Business Partner and performed HR duties. In their earlier career, Leialoha worked at Utah Valley University as a Career Counselor, Assistant Director of the Career Development Center, and Adjunct Faculty. Leialoha also served as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Fortified Financial and held multiple roles at Brigham Young University Hawaii, including Assistant Director of Employer Relations/Career & Alumni Services and Human Resources Training and Development Manager. With their extensive background in HR and leadership positions, Leialoha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role at Salt Lake Community College.

Leialoha Pakalani, EdD, SHRM-SCP, GPHR completed their Bachelor's degree in English Studies at Brigham Young University-Hawaii from 1988 to 1996. Later, they pursued further education by earning a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Phoenix between 2001 and 2007. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification in July 2018 from SHRM.
