Christoph Schaffrath

Christoph Schaffrath has a diverse work experience in the chemical industry. Christoph started their career in 1997 as a Research Scientist at Analyticon AG. In 2002, they took on Commercial Management Positions at various companies before joining Saltigo in 2007, where they served as Business Manager in the Fine Chemicals and Pharma divisions. In 2013, they worked as the Head of Corporate Development China at LANXESS. Christoph returned to Saltigo in 2014 and held multiple roles, including Head of Marketing Agro, Head of Key Account Management, and currently serves as the Head of Marketing & Sales. In 2019, they also became the Vicechair of Fine Chemicals and Agrochemicals Manufacturers Europe at Cefic.

Christoph Schaffrath pursued their education in the field of Organic Chemistry. Christoph first attended Durham University from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Subsequently, they continued their studies at the University of St Andrews from 2000 to 2002, earning another Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Organic Chemistry.
