Thomas B. has extensive work experience in the field of quality control and laboratory analytics. Thomas is currently serving as the Head of Quality Control Laboratory Analytics at Saltigo since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Grünenthal Group from June 2016 to July 2020, where they served as the Lab Head for chemical testing in the Quality Control department. Thomas'sresponsibilities included project management, analytical product transfers, testing and release of medicinal products, and supervision of the analytical QC lab.
Before joining Grünenthal Group, Thomas B. worked at QIAGEN as a Team Leader for Quality Control in the Molecular Diagnostics department from November 2015 to June 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Laboratory Head for Quality Control at Aeropharm (Sandoz, Novartis) from June 2014 to November 2015, where they were responsible for QC testing and release of inhalation products.
Thomas B. also has academic research experience. Thomas worked as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow and Biochemist at Max-Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry from May 2008 to June 2014. Thomas also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD student at Universität Witten/Herdecke from December 2004 to April 2008 and as a Research Associate at Zentrum für Molekularbiologie Heidelberg from November 2002 to March 2004.
Thomas B. completed their education in the field of Biochemistry. Thomas began their academic journey in 1997 at Ruhr University Bochum, where they obtained a Vordiplom degree in Biochemie in 1999. Thomas then continued their studies at Universität Witten/Herdecke from 1999 to 2002, earning a Diplom degree in Biochemie. In 2000, Thomas undertook a Research Internship in Biochemistry at Leeds University. Additionally, in 2001, they attended Stanford University and achieved a Diplomarbeit degree in Biochemie in 2002.
