Paul Schneidereit

Paul Schneidereit is an experienced opinion columnist at SaltWire Network since January 1999 and serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Journalists since September 1997. Previously, Paul worked as an editorial writer at The Halifax Herald from November 1983 to July 2021, where various roles included new media editor, night assignment editor, and reporter. Additionally, Paul was a columnist for Local XPress from January 2016 to August 2017, contributing to the online news portal during a defensive strike for labour rights. Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Carleton University, obtained between 1979 and 1983.
