Jamie Pleasants

Jamie Pleasants began their career in 2012 at West Corporation as a Production Associate, where they trained co-workers on updated policies and proper usage of Oracle-based software, advised customers of any information pertaining to how to use a service, and resolved customer complaints. That same year, Jamie accepted a Production Associate position at Alpine Access, where they solved problems regarding customer’s telephone service, performed troubleshooting steps to assist customers in repairing their devices, and instructed customers in the use of a myriad of mobile devices. In 2013, Jamie began working at Carolina Carpet Cleaning as an Assistant, where they maintained the business website for the company owner using WordPress and setup systems to better organize company materials such as a private, online calendar. That same year, Jamie also joined SAM IT Solutions as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer, where they managed and trained teams of engineers to offer new technology solutions and ongoing maintenance and support to clients in a variety of industries. Theirresponsibilities included evaluation and governance of new solution offerings, project management, advanced incident and problem management, and vendor engagement (product support and issue tracking). Jamie also created and maintained strong client relationships through effective communications and negotiating skills by distilling complex technical information into understandable terminology. In 2021, Jamie joined Defiant Networks as a Windows Product Owner.

Jamie Pleasants has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of the People, which they obtained in 2021. Jamie also attended Wake Technical Community College from 2013 to 2014. In addition, Jamie holds several certifications, including a Fortinet Network Security Expert Level 4: Certified Professional from Fortinet obtained in 2021, a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate from Microsoft obtained in 2022, a Sophos Certified Engineer and Sophos Certified Technician both obtained in 2021, and an EMT-Basic from the Office of Emergency Medical Services obtained in 2012.
