Edward

Edward Ma is a Principal Engineer at SambaNova Systems, specializing in multimodal assistant technology since August 2024. Prior to this role, Edward contributed as an Open Source contributor, developing a textual augmentation library for natural language processing since March 2018. Edward served as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer focused on speech and NLP at Toyota Connected North America from January 2022 to August 2024, and as a Machine Learning Engineer at OOCL from March 2018 to January 2022, concentrating on document AI and cargo optimization. Edward holds a Master of Computer Science with a focus on Data Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
