Amy then transitioned to private practice as an Attorney at Bradshaw, Fowler, Proctor & Fairgrave, P.C., where they specialized in litigation, employment law, and appellate practice.

Amy joined Sammons Financial Group Companies in 2013 and held various roles throughout their tenure. As Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, they assisted the CEO in setting the company's direction and oversaw departments such as Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, and Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management. Prior to this role, Amy was the Vice President and Associate General Counsel, providing legal counsel on employment law, real estate, vendor contracts, corporate insurance, and more. Amy also led the Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management program.

Before joining Sammons Financial, Amy was an Associate Vice President and Associate General Counsel at the company, responsible for supervising litigation and claims, as well as providing legal advice on various corporate matters. In their early career, Amy gained experience as a Corporate Attorney, focusing on general corporate legal matters.
