Abhishek Bhowmick

Abhishek Bhowmick has extensive experience in the tech industry. Abhishek is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Samooha, a position they have held since 2022. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Head of ML Privacy and Cryptography, System Intelligence & Machine Learning at Apple, where they led the ML Privacy and Cryptography team that shipped a privacy preserving data/ML platform that runs at a scale of 1B+ users. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Machine Learning Strategist at Goldman Sachs. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Research Fellow at Princeton University, where they were a two-time invited speaker at IAS for solving a 30+ year open problem in information theory. From 2011 to 2015, they were also a Data Privacy R&D at Microsoft.

Abhishek Bhowmick completed a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Abhishek then went on to pursue a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin. Abhishek is currently a Research Fellow at Princeton University's Institute for Advanced Study, which is home to famous scientists such as Albert Einstein and John von Neumann.
