Nachwa Bakr

Nachwa Bakr, PhD has several years of work experience in machine learning, computer vision, and teaching. Nachwa currently works as a Lead Machine Learning at Samp since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Inria from 2020 to 2021 and a PhD Candidate in Computer Vision at Inria from 2016 to 2020. Nachwa also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Ensimag from 2018 to 2020 and as a Research Intern at Inria in 2016. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Computer Science Teacher at Alafaq International School from 2013 to 2015.

Nachwa Bakr, PhD, obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Informatics Engineering from the University of Aleppo in 2012. In 2013, they pursued postgraduate courses in Computer Software Engineering at Alexandria University. In 2015, they completed a Master of Science degree in Informatics from Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I). Continuing their studies, they then obtained a PhD in Information Technology from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2019. Prior to their PhD, they also pursued postgraduate courses in Information Systems at King Saud University in 2014.
