Robert Baffi

Robert Baffi is an experienced leader in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as a Venture Partner at Samsara BioCapital since March 2021, where responsibilities include providing technical and strategic guidance for emerging biotechnology companies. Previously, Robert held the position of President of Global Manufacturing and Technical Operations at BioMarin Pharmaceutical from May 2000 to March 2023, overseeing various departments such as manufacturing and quality. Robert's earlier career at Genentech spanned 14 years, during which positions of increasing responsibility in quality control were held, contributing to the approval and launch of multiple biotechnology products. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and an M.B.A. from Regis University.
