Charles Joseph

Charles Joseph has a strong background in audit, risk governance, and technology internal audit. Charles is currently the VP of Audit and Risk Governance at Samsara, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at VMware for six years, where they held various roles, including Deputy Chief Audit Executive, Head of Enterprise Risk Governance, and Senior Director of Technology Internal Audit. Before joining VMware, Charles worked at PwC for ten years as an Associate-Director in IT Audit & Risk Assurance. Charles began their career as a Lead Auditor at V. R. Cecil Joseph & Co., Chartered Accountants.

Charles Joseph has an extensive education history, including multiple degrees and certifications. Charles attended Binghamton University School of Management, where they pursued an MBA in Management and Leadership. Additionally, they also pursued a PhD (ABD) in Organizational Behavior & Leadership at the same institution.

Before attending Binghamton University, Charles earned a BCom degree in Business from the University of Madras - R.K.M. Vivekananda College.

In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in December 2007. Later, in June 2020, Charles obtained the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certification, also from ISACA.
