Jeong-Hyeok Park

Jeong-Hyeok Park is a seasoned accounting professional currently serving as a Board Member at the Korea Accounting Standards Board (KASB) since September 2023. Park has been a member of the Global Preparers Forum (GPF) at the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) since September 2017 and participates in the IFRS 17 Transition Resource Group while holding the position of Chief Accounting Officer at Samsung Life Insurance since February 2002, focusing on accounting policy. Additionally, Park is a member of the Korea Sustainability Standards Advisory Group since March 2022 and has held a leadership role in the Asia Oceania Standard Setters Group since November 2010. As a Visiting Fellow at the Korea Accounting Institute (KAI) since August 2008, Park contributes to the advancement of accounting standards. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Accounting from Iowa State University and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Sungkyunkwan University.
