Martin Serna

Martin Serna is a highly experienced fire service professional currently serving as Deputy Fire Chief at San Bernardino County Fire Department since July 2022. Prior to this role, Martin held the position of President for both the Los Angeles Area Fire Chiefs Association and SouthBay Fire Chiefs from December 2019 to August 2022 and January 2018 to August 2022, respectively. With a long-standing career at the City of Torrance from March 1993 to July 2022, Martin contributed as Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, and Assistant Fire Chief, demonstrating a strong commitment to the community. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and an Associate of Science in Fire Science from Mt. San Antonio College.
