Charles Daniel Murin

Charles Daniel Murin is an experienced scientist and educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor at San Diego Biomedical Research Institute since April 2023. Murin has held multiple positions at Scripps Research since July 2011, including Adjunct Assistant Professor, Senior Staff Scientist, Principal Investigator, Staff Scientist, and Postdoctoral Research Associate. Previous roles include Lead Research Specialist and Research Specialist at Emory University School of Medicine from March 2009 to May 2011, and various research assistant positions at The University of Southern Mississippi from August 1999 to January 2009. Murin obtained a Ph.D. in Structural Biology, Biophysics, and Immunology from Scripps Research in 2016 and a B.S. in Chemistry-Biochemistry from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2008.
