Soodeh Abadi, MSc, RD, is a highly experienced professional in the field of nutrition and dietetics, currently serving as the Chair of Research at the American Society for Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) since March 2021. Abadi has held several academic and clinical positions, including Faculty of Nutritional Sciences at San Diego Community College District and Lead Critical Care Dietitian at Los Alamitos Medical Center. Abadi has also contributed as Adjunct Faculty at Long Beach City College, Clinical Dietitian at Morrison Healthcare, and Work Experience Coordinator at San Diego Mesa College. Prior experience includes a role as Research Analyst/Reader at UCL, focusing on medical archive research. Abadi holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biology and Nutrition from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master's degree in Nutrition Research from UCL, a Master of Medical Science in Human Nutrition from The University of Sheffield, and completed a Dietetics Internship at King's College.
