Craig Ruiz is currently the Manager of Small Business Development at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, a role held since October 2022, where the focus is on promoting opportunities for local, small, women-, minority-, and veteran-owned businesses to engage with the airport. Prior experience includes serving as the Economic Development Administrator for the City of Poway from September 2017 to June 2022 and as the Principal Economic Development Specialist for the City of Chula Vista from September 2004 to September 2017. Craig Ruiz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in City Planning from San Diego State University, completed between 1984 and 1989.
