Kimberley Layton has over 30 years of experience in various high-level roles in the public and non-profit sectors. Kimberley began their career as a District Chief of Staff in the California State Senate, where they worked from 1990 to 1995. From 1995 to 2000, they worked for the City of San Diego in roles such as Assistant Director of Intergovernmental Relations and Chief of Staff to Mayor Susan Golding. In 2000, they joined the Los Angeles Chargers as the Vice President of External Affairs, Corporate, Community & Governmental Relations and served in this role until 2023. In February 2023, they became the Chief Advancement and Communication Officer at Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank.
Kimberley Layton holds a Bachelor's degree from UC Irvine. Kimberley also completed the NFL Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In 1995, they graduated from LEAD San Diego with a Graduate degree. The start and end years for each program were not provided.
