Marisa Castaneda

Marisa Castaneda is a Project Specialist at the San Diego & Imperial SBDC Network, where responsibilities include coordinating program projects, strategy development, grant writing, budget management, and fostering municipal partnerships. As a Business Advisor for the South San Diego SBDC since 2016, Marisa provides one-on-one counseling for small businesses, assisting with business strategies, marketing, and compliance documentation. Previous roles include Operations Project Coordinator at ecoATM Gazelle, where Marisa managed large projects and vendor contracts, and Restaurant Manager at Extraordinary Desserts, overseeing operations and employee management. Marisa's early experience includes internships at various SBDC centers and marketing research for Los Bagels. Marisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from Humboldt State University.
