Molly Lebeau

Assistant Director of Student Life at San Francisco Ballet

Molly Lebeau is currently the Assistant Director of Student Life at San Francisco Ballet. Molly was previously the Artistic Director at Berkeley Ballet Theater from May 2009 to August 2015. While at Berkeley Ballet, Molly conceived artistic projects and shepherded them to successful completion. Molly also coordinated artistic collaborations between independent organizations, set ballet repertoire, and coached pre-professional dancers on technique and artistry for variations. In addition, Molly innovated and initiated strategic reorganization of job duties within limited staff, developed and implemented production budgets, and coordinated complex schedules of diverse parties to prepare cohesive rehearsal schedule.

Molly also developed a syllabus for an adult program focusing on health and inspirational benefits of ballet, choreographed dances at level appropriate for the skill of dancers age eight through adult, and developed and maintained donor database for tracking and acknowledging gifts. Molly drove a 5% annual increase in fundraising revenue each year by improved annual ask and events. In addition, Molly lead the 30th Gala Celebration Event, culminating in an extravagant event that netted $30,000.

Molly has a long history of working with diverse teams and has been responsible for selecting, training, and overseeing new team members. Molly is an excellent writer and presenter, having written and presented speeches on numerous occasions. Molly has also participated in committees of the Board, PR, Finance, Fundraising, and Capital Campaign Cabinet.

Molly Lebeau began their educational career by earning a BA in Landscape from University of California, Berkeley. Molly then went on to complete the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, becoming a certified ballet teacher.

Their manager is Jennie Scholick, Director of Education & Training. They are on a team with Leslie Donohue - School Physical Therapist, Terrence Paschal - Teaching Artist, and Jasmine Yep Huynh - Associate Director of Education.
