Matthew M. has a strong background in law and enforcement, with a wide range of experience in various positions. Matthew is currently working as the Chief of the White Collar Crime Division at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice from October 2021 to January 2023.
Matthew M. also has prior experience at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, where they held the role of Managing Attorney of the Special Prosecutions Unit, White Collar Crime Division from August 2019 to September 2021.

Matthew M.'s education history begins in 1990, where they attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory until 1994. Matthew then went on to UCLA from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Matthew M. continued their education at the University of Chicago from 1998 to 2001, earning a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
