Amichai Amar

Amichai Amar, Ph.D., is a versatile professional with a diverse background in crisis counseling, technology development, and education. Currently serving as a Crisis Counselor at San Francisco Suicide Prevention since March 2022, Amichai also completed Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems Therapy at IFS Institute. Previous experience includes founding Aura Jewel Company, an illuminated jewelry line, and working as a Senior Engineering Program Manager at PCH International, overseeing smart speaker development for a Fortune 50 company. Amichai has held various roles, including President & COO at OTOjOY, Instructor at the French American International School, and Principal Product Manager at Snse. An entrepreneur at heart, Amichai founded Amaret during the Ph.D. journey at UC Santa Barbara, where a focus on Media, Arts, and Technology culminated in a comprehensive educational foundation enhanced by ongoing studies in Integral Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
