Associate Director, Advocacy & Community Engagement at San Francisco Symphony

Laura Bergmann has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Laura currently holds the position of Associate Director of Advocacy & Community Engagement at the San Francisco Symphony since June 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Musician and Business Manager for The Family Crest starting in June 2009 and also served as a Freelance Musician and Private Lesson Instructor since August 2006. Within the San Francisco Symphony, Laura previously held roles such as Senior Project Manager of Events & Volunteer Council Operations from May 2018 to February 2019, Event Coordinator from September 2015 to May 2018, Orchestra Personnel Administrative Assistant from November 2014 to April 2015, and Interim Executive Assistant to the Chief Marketing Officer from March 2014 to June 2014. Additionally, they were involved with the Magik*Magik Orchestra as a Performer and Admin from August 2008 to September 2013. Furthermore, Laura had multiple roles at the San Francisco Symphony including Interim Campaign Coordinator in Marketing, Youth Orchestra Administrative Assistant, and Interim Personnel Administrator in 2011. Laura also worked as a Music Teacher for the Thornton School of Music Outreach Program at the University of Southern California from October 2009 to March 2010. Laura's earliest experience with the San Francisco Symphony was as a Youth Orchestra Administrative Assistant from November 2006 to June 2009.

Laura Bergmann completed a Bachelor of Music degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music from 2006 to 2009. Laura then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California from 2009 to 2011, specializing in Music.
