Scott Chernis

Scott Chernis is an experienced portrait and event photographer based in the Bay Area, operating Scott Chernis Photography since September 1995. With a diverse portfolio, Chernis captures high-quality images for corporate events, live music, and educational programs while focusing on making subjects feel comfortable in front of the camera. Additionally, Chernis serves as a freelance photographer for the San Francisco Travel Association, providing executive portraits and documenting significant events, including multiple San Francisco Giants World Series parades. With a background in education-related photography for Contra Costa Community College District and a documented history with SFJAZZ, Chernis has built a comprehensive visual archive across various sectors. Chernis also has notable experience as head photographer for Slow Food Nation and as the Olympic photographer for the Jamaican Bobsled team. Chernis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Tulane University.
