Melanie Greene

Melanie Schoeppe Greene is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Continuous Improvement at the San Joaquin County Office of Education since February 2019, focusing on enhancing strategic plans for improved student outcomes. Additionally, Melanie has been a Board Trustee for Manteca Unified School District since December 2020. Previously, Melanie held roles at the California Department of Education as Director of School Improvement and Accountability and served as Principal and Assistant Principal at Greenleaf K-8, where a commitment to community leadership and student achievement was emphasized. Other notable experiences include being a Fellow at Education Pioneers and a Program Director for Teach for America, as well as a teacher at Greenleaf Elementary School. Melanie holds a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley.
