Senior Director Of Soccer Analytics at San Jose Earthquakes Soccer

Grant Wenzinger has extensive work experience in the field of soccer analytics. Grant began their career as a Founder of the SCCHS Robotics Club in 2011. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Cornell University Unmanned Air Systems as a Computer Vision Team Lead. Grant then interned at Doron Precision Systems in 2013, 2014, and 2015, gaining experience in software and systems engineering. In 2016, they interned as a Soccer Machine Learning Intern at Second Spectrum, Inc. Grant was subsequently hired as a Soccer Machine Learning Engineer at the same company and worked there until 2020. During this time, they also served as the Boys Junior Varsity Soccer Head Coach at Seton Catholic Central from 2020 to 2021. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Soccer Analytics Consultant, providing expertise in infrastructure design, data feed development, and player recruitment for various clubs and companies. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Soccer Analytics at San Jose Earthquakes Soccer since 2022, and as of 2023, they have been serving as the Senior Director of Soccer Analytics.

Grant Wenzinger obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, where they attended from 2013 to 2016. In addition, they have acquired two coaching licenses: the National E Coaching License from the U.S. Soccer Federation in March 2017 and the National D Coaching License in January 2022, also from the U.S. Soccer Federation.
