David Orona

David Orona is an experienced educator currently serving as an English Teacher at San Leandro Unified School District since August 2020. Prior to this role, David worked as an Instructional Coach at the same district, where responsibilities included enhancing professional development for educators. Before joining San Leandro, David was an Education Consultant at Promethean, focusing on implementing technology in educational settings. David's teaching background also includes significant experience as a Science Teacher in Oakland Unified School District, where innovative lesson planning engaged middle school students in hands-on science learning. Earlier experience includes leading a reading intervention program and teaching English to newcomers. David holds a Teaching Credential with authorizations in Biological Sciences and English from Holy Names University, along with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
