Ted Norman

Ted Norman has a diverse work experience in the education and retail sectors. Ted is currently working as the Executive Director of Maintenance and Operations at San Marcos Unified School District since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Maintenance and Operations at San Dieguito Union High School District from July 2021 to February 2023 and at Capistrano Unified School District from December 2015 to June 2021. Ted also has significant experience at the Orange County Department of Education, where they started as a Maintenance & Operations Supervisor in September 1998 and currently holds this position since January 2013. Prior to this, they held various accounting and project management positions within the department. Ted began their career as an Associate at Smart & Final from January 1995 to September 1998.

Ted Norman earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from UC Irvine, which they attended from 2001 to 2003. Ted then pursued a Certificate in Maintenance Management from the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH), completing the program from 2014 to 2015. Prior to their time at UC Irvine, Ted earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from Orange Coast College, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Additionally, they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Fire Science/Firefighting from Santa Ana College during 1997 to 1999. Ted has also acquired additional certifications, including "Speed of Trust" from the Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center in April 2018 and "C.A.S.H. Maintenance Management" from CASH in February 2015.
