Erica Wood

Erica Wood currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce since October 2020, also holding the role of Executive Director for the Leadership Program, focusing on community engagement and critical issues such as housing and economic development. Since November 2020, Erica has been a Senior Project Consultant for the City of Half Moon Bay, leading strategic planning for inclusive economic recovery. Previously, Erica held the position of Chief Community Impact Officer at Silicon Valley Community Foundation, contributing significantly to the organization's growth and addressing community issues over a 17-year tenure. Additionally, as Interim President and CEO of Raising A Reader, Erica guided the organization through a leadership transition, achieving financial stability and expansion of its literacy programs. Erica's career began at Applied Survey Research, where as Director of Research and Evaluation, numerous projects were led to address the needs of vulnerable populations in California.
