Elliott Rivas

Elliott Rivas is a seasoned maintenance management professional with extensive experience in the transit industry. Currently serving as a Maintenance Manager at First Transit since January 2019, Elliott oversees bus maintenance for the Stanford University Marguerite Shuttle. Prior to this position, Elliott held several roles at San Mateo County Transit District from 1996, including Manager of Bus Maintenance, where responsibilities encompassed directing maintenance for a fleet of 132 fixed route and 44 paratransit buses while managing a $14 million annual operating budget. Elliott also has experience as Acting Deputy Director, Assistant Superintendent, and Maintenance Supervisor within the same organization. Earlier career roles included Maintenance Supervisor at Durham School Services and Union City Transit. Elliott holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Human Services from Notre Dame de Namur University and an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Cañada College, along with additional leadership training in public transportation.
