Jonathan Varkovitzky

Jonathan Varkovitzky has a diverse work experience. Jonathan is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Sana Benefits since May 2021. Previously, they worked at Tableau Software for nine years, starting as a Software Engineer in Performance Test Engineering in July 2012 and progressing to roles such as Engagement Engineer and Senior Engagement Engineer. In their most recent role at Tableau, they served as a Technical Program Manager from March 2017 to April 2021. At Tableau, their responsibilities included designing and developing data models and pipelines, analyzing KPIs, identifying areas of improvement in business performance, and creating a data pipeline for public use related to COVID-19 data.

Before joining Tableau, Jonathan worked at the University of Washington from December 2010 to June 2012 as a Graduate Research Assistant and from September 2010 to August 2011 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Jonathan also gained research experience as a Student Research Assistant at the Center for Integrated Plasma Studies from December 2008 to May 2010 and at the University of Colorado Department of Physics from December 2006 to December 2008.

Jonathan Varkovitzky obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2010. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Science in Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington from 2010 to 2012.
