Danielle Shultz

Danielle Shultz has a strong background in corporate counsel and legal roles, with experience in the biotechnology and healthcare industries. Danielle is currently working at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. as the Senior Director and Senior Corporate Counsel, a role they began in December 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director and Corporate Counsel at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. from September 2021 to November 2022. Before joining Sana Biotechnology, Inc., they worked at Five Prime Therapeutics, Inc. where they held various positions including Director and Corporate Counsel from August 2020 to September 2021, Associate Director and Corporate Counsel from August 2018 to August 2020, and Corporate Counsel from October 2016 to August 2018. Danielle also has experience in intellectual property and technology transactions as an associate at Gunderson Dettmer from April 2015 to September 2016. Danielle began their legal career as an Associate and Law Clerk at Desmarais LLP from May 2012 to March 2015. Prior to that, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant to Professor Michael Burstein at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law from January 2012 to June 2012. Danielle also has interned at several organizations, including the Departmental Disciplinary Committee, Supreme Court, Appellate Division from August 2011 to December 2011 and SuperGen, Inc. from June 2011 to July 2011. Danielle also has teaching experience as a Chemistry Tutor at My Learning Springboard from June 2010 to May 2011. Danielle began their career in the medical field as a Laboratory Research Intern at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School from August 2009 to May 2010 and as an Intern on the Business Development Team at Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute, Office of Technology Transfer from May 2009 to August 2009.

Danielle Shultz obtained a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania from 2006 to 2010. Danielle also has Bar Admissions from the State Bar of California in 2016 and the State Bar of New York in 2014.
