Michael Barker

Michael Barker has extensive work experience in the field of data and analytics. Michael is currently working as the Group Head of Data and Analytics at Sanctuary Personnel, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Data and Performance Manager at Sanctuary Personnel from March 2021 to May 2023.

Before joining Sanctuary Personnel, Michael Barker worked at Suffolk County Council as an Analyst and Researcher for the Suffolk Office of Data & Analytics (SODA). Their role involved analyzing data from multiple sources and generating insights to improve policy and service design and delivery. Michael held this position from March 2020 to February 2021.

Michael Barker also has a history with Sanctuary Personnel, where they held various roles. Michael started as a Project Lead Officer in the Project Team Division from April 2014 to September 2014. Michael then became a Data Performance Analyst in the same division from September 2014 to March 2016, where they oversaw project performance and created reports. Following this, they served as an Operations Analyst in the Project Team Division from March 2016 to July 2018, providing reports and identifying business risks and opportunities. Their most recent role at Sanctuary Personnel before their current position was Senior Data Performance Analyst from July 2018 to March 2020. In this role, they managed reporting for the company and ensured data quality.

Prior to their work experience in the data and analytics field, Michael Barker worked as a Student Archaeologist at the Noviodunum Archaeological Project at the University of Southampton in July-September 2009.

Michael Barker completed their Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology at the University of Southampton from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended the Royal Hospital School from 2001 to 2008 where they completed their High School education. In addition, Michael obtained a certification in SQL Fundamentals from SoloLearn in February 2020.
