David Luxat

David Luxat is an accomplished manager in nuclear reactor safety technology with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as the Manager of the Severe Accident Modeling/Analysis Department at Sandia National Laboratories since January 2019, David leads initiatives to enhance nuclear safety. Prior to this role, David managed analytical solutions at JENSEN HUGHES, focusing on computer simulations for risk assessment and decision-making. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Analyst at AMEC NSS, where David delivered safety and risk assessments for Canadian nuclear utilities, and as a Risk Analyst at AECL, developing methodologies for severe accident mitigation. David holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics and has a comprehensive educational background from the University of Toronto.
