Anand Muppavarapu

Anand Muppavarapu, also known as Andy, has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Starting in 2005 at USine Technologies, they worked as a SOC - Threat Hunting & Incident Responder, responsible for analyzing and responding to potential internal and external threat events. Anand then moved on to roles at companies such as Genpact, CSS Corp, IBM, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they served in various project management and leadership positions. Notably, at Standard Chartered Bank, Andy spearheaded a high-profile e-trading FX low latency co-location project in Tokyo, Japan. In 2016, they joined MUSIC Tribe as a Senior Manager of Security Project Management. In 2018, Andy returned to Standard Chartered Bank as a Senior Manager in Engagement and Project Delivery. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Novartis as an Associate Director of IT Security, responsible for ensuring information security standards were met and driving continuous improvement. Andy is currently the Lead of DLP & Network Security Governance at Sandoz, starting in October 2023.

Anand Muppavarapu (Andy) holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. In terms of additional certifications, Andy has obtained various credentials over the years, including cloud security knowledge, cybersecurity technologies, risk and information systems control, ethical hacking, information security management, information systems auditing, ISO 27001 lead auditing, COBIT 5 foundation, Amazon Web Services solutions architecture, project management, IT service management, Scrum, PRINCE2, Red Hat certifications, and a DevOps Master certification. Specific dates for some of these certifications are not provided.
