William Lamanna has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. William started their career as a Fulbright Fellow at the Fulbright Association in 2003. William then worked as a Guest Researcher at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) in 2005. In 2004, they joined Georg-August-Universität Göttingen as a Scientific Researcher. William continued their research work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, San Diego from 2008 to 2012.
In 2012, Lamanna transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry and joined Sandoz as a Lab Head and Lead Project Analyst. William was responsible for managing research projects and leading the laboratory. In 2016, they were promoted to the role of Global Scientific Affairs Manager, where they handled scientific affairs on a global scale. In 2018, they became the Director of Pipeline Strategy and Operations, overseeing the strategic planning and operational aspects related to the company's product pipeline. Currently, Lamanna holds the position of Head Medical Devices - Sandoz Global Regulatory Affairs, where they are responsible for regulatory affairs related to medical devices.
William Lamanna has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, which they obtained from 1998 to 2003. William then pursued their PhD in Biology at The University of Göttingen from 2004 to 2008. In 2003, they were also a Fulbright Fellow at The University of Göttingen.
