Dr. Dale Fortner

Dr. Dale Fortner has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dr. Dale began their career in 1986 at Akron Firestone HS as a Teacher/Coach/ Athletic Director and worked there until 1992. Dr. Dale then moved on to Revere Local Schools, where they served in an administrative role from 1992 to 1998. Following this, Dr. Fortner joined Wadsworth City Schools as a Principal from 1998 to 2001, and later as the Superintendent from 2001 to 2013. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Sandridge Food Corporation, where they have been since 2013.

Dr. Dale Fortner completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English at The College of Wooster from 1978 to 1982. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration at The University of Akron, which they completed from 1984 to 1990. In 2007, they enrolled in Walden University, where they earned an Ed.D. degree in Administrative Leadership for Teaching and Learning, completing their studies in 2011.
