Rachael Aston

Rachael Aston serves as the Assistant Principal for Quality, Curriculum & Skills at Sandwell College since July 2019, where responsibilities include leading the strategic Quality Assurance and Improvement Strategy alongside the Curriculum and Skills Division Improvement Strategy aimed at growth and effectiveness. Previously, Rachael held several key management positions, including Director of Quality & Quality Nominee at Sandwell College and Teaching, Learning and Assessment Manager & Quality Nominee at Birmingham Metropolitan College, overseeing quality assurance across multiple campuses. Rachael’s extensive experience in educational quality management also encompasses roles at Pearson Education as a Centre Quality Reviewer, Btec specification writer, and External Verifier. Rachael holds multiple qualifications, including a Master's in Education from the University of Wolverhampton and an ILM Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring certification.
