Tom Penisten

Tom Penisten is an experienced legal professional with a robust background in litigation, insurance claims, and risk management. Currently serving as the Head of Litigation, Insurance Claims & Senior Services at Sanford Health since January 2019, Tom previously held significant roles at The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, including Director of Risk and Claims Management. Tom also has academic experience as an Adjunct Instructor of Healthcare Law at The University of South Dakota from August 2011 to May 2018. Prior legal experience includes working in a private law practice and serving as a Judicial Law Clerk. Tom earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Creighton University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of South Dakota.
