Simon Harris has a diverse work experience in the field of genetics and data engineering. Simon'smost recent position was as a Software Engineer at Sano Genetics, starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant Data Engineer at Aiimi from April 2022 to January 2023. Simon also served as a Data Lead at UK Biocentre from January 2022 to March 2022, and as a Technical Support Officer from April 2021 to December 2021.
Simon has experience in RNA extraction, having worked as an RNA Extraction specialist at PerkinElmer, Inc. from November 2020 to March 2021. Simon Harris began their education in 2004 at Ashby School. After completing their secondary education, they attended the University of Liverpool from 2008 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry. Following this, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biochemistry at Uppsala University. In 2016, Simon Harris commenced their doctoral studies at Université Grenoble Alpes, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2019. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in DALF C1 (Diplôme approfondi de langue française) from the Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP) in December 2019.
