Michael Fleming

Michael Fleming is a Principal Scientist at Sanofi since June 2021, with a prior role as Scientist II and Scientist I at Editas Medicine from August 2019 to May 2021. Previously, Michael served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from October 2016 to August 2019 and completed a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania from 2010 to 2016. Research expertise includes investigation of receptor tyrosine kinase signaling in somatosensory neuron development, resulting in multiple first-author publications and international conference presentations. Michael's experience includes managing multi-institutional research projects, supervising undergraduate students, and performing lab management duties during a research technician position at the University of Virginia. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Virginia, earned between 2005 and 2008.
