Annette Berg

Annette Berg is an accomplished professional in the field of bioengineering and process development, currently serving as the Head of BioProcess Engineering Microbial Platform at Sanofi since May 2015. In this role, Annette Berg focuses on scaling, engineering solutions, data stewardship, and process control strategy for a diverse microbial portfolio. Prior to this position, Annette Berg held several key roles at sanofi-aventis, including Head of Purification Process Development Germany and Head of Operations & Excellence, as well as serving as Laboratory Head for Downstream Process Development at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Annette Berg earned a PhD in Downstream Processing from the Research Centre Juelich, specializing in areas such as high-throughput screening, refolding, analytics, chromatography, design of experiments, and genetic algorithms.
