Dr. Natalia Sarmiento

Dr. Natalia Sarmiento is a Senior Scientist at Sanofi since April 2020, with prior experience as an Associate Scientist at Ablynx from July 2016 to April 2020. Dr. Sarmiento completed post-doctoral studies and a PhD in protein biochemistry and biotechnology at Technische Universität München between September 2009 and September 2015. Additionally, Dr. Sarmiento acquired valuable experience as a Master student at Novartis in early 2008, focusing on recombinant nanobodies. Educational background includes a Diplôme d'ingénieur specializing in biotechnology and biology from Polytech Marseille from 2005 to 2008, along with involvement in the International Max Planck Research School for Molecules of Life (IMPRS-ML). Dr. Sarmiento possesses extensive knowledge in immune response and recombinant antibody domains, specifically in expression, purification, and characterization utilizing a diverse range of biophysical methods.
