Marith Utterback

Marith Utterback is a Coordinator for the Teacher Induction Program at the Santa Barbara County Education Office, a role held since July 2021. Responsibilities include organizing meetings for 500 participants, providing professional learning to candidates and mentors, managing the TIP online learning management system, and supporting accreditation efforts. Prior to this, Marith served as a Language Arts Teacher at Carpinteria Unified School District from August 2014 to June 2021, where responsibilities included developing standards-based lessons, acting as Language Arts Department Chair, and participating in various advisory and negotiation roles. Earlier experience as a Substitute Teacher at Carpinteria Unified School District involved executing lessons for grades K-12. Marith holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts Teacher Education and a Single Subject Teaching Credential from California State University-Long Beach.
